Your Parent/Teen Mediation Expert
To be a positive force in your family
Break the cycle of constant confrontation with your teenager. We provide mediation services between parents, guardians, coaches, teachers and leaders and their teenager(s). We are able to show adults the teenager's world and point of view and show the teenager the adult's world and point of view. Both parties will gain an understanding of each other and thus create a new and positive relationship.
The power of bringing a neutral skilled person to mediate is a strategic way to clear up conflicts, gain respect and show that you are serious about a lasting and productive relationship. We have successfully worked with teenages with school problems, drug problems, motivational problems, teenage relationship problems, behavior problems, teen communication problems, teenage discipline problems, domestic violence problems, criminal problems, family problems involving teenagers, etc. If you are experiencing any problems we recommend an assessment.
The Assessment: To discover the problem(s) that your teenager(s) is dealing with, an in-house assessment is completed. We meet with the parent/guardian and the teenager(s) at their home or a location of their choice. This is a successful step because the teenager(s) does not feel like you are taking them to an office to sit with a counselor so they can be fixed. They do not want to be fixed. They do not see themselves as broken. This process can take up to 2-4 meetings. During the process we make a decision whether we will work together to eliminate the crisis/problem. Some things in life we cannot overcome without the help of others.
The Next Step: Involves developing a hands-on plan to assist the parent/guardian and teenager(s) with overcoming the challenges they are facing. This may include but is not limited to, mediation between parent/guardian and teenager, life skills and coaching, school intervention program, recommending other services, 1, 2, 3-step plan (trust building), vision, motivation & discipline plan, etc. For more information, contact us now.
