Clem has a passion to help teenagers through the challenges they face and to see themselves as likeable, successful and prosperous. A skilled expert, who brings out the best in teenagers, and specializing in helping young people find their purpose in life, become focused and reach and/or establish their goals. Clem believes that finding their purpose in life is SO vital to a teenager’s success. "With a some direction there is no reason why a teenager can't find their purpose or place in life," says Clem. His honesty, straightforwardness and practical approach have gained him much respect and admiration from his peers as well as the many young people he works with.
Clem is a mentor for the Heritage Leadership Camp for the City of Federal Way, Washington School District, a program that mentors young men in grades 6th, 7th & 8th with life skills that prepare them to live successful and productive lives.
He is the board chair of the South King County Community Network for the term of July 2006 until July 2007. The Network (www.skccn.com) focuses its efforts on combating child abuse and neglect and on helping to heal children who have experienced domestic violence.
In addition, he is a board member for the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce, www.auburnareawa.org.
A father of three, Clem understands the challenges of today’s teenager(s) as well as the challenges that parents face trying to connect with them. Clem’s been asked about his secret to connecting with teenagers and causing them to bring about positive change. “It is a gift as well as a deep desire to see them succeed and be successful in life. I get on their level because I clearly remember the pain, struggles and challenges I had when I was their age. They know that I am genuinely concerned about them,” said Clem.
Clem’s career expands from the U.S. Postal Service to the Desert Storm War and back home to the Seattle Police Department. He was a spokesperson for the Seattle Police Department, a Detective and a Community Liaison Specialist. An expert in crisis intervention/mediation, Clem has had a lot of training and experience with his diverse background.
He is a gifted motivational speaker who speaks from the heart with great passion. He is known for interacting with his audience, captivating them and inspiring them to make positive changes in their lives.
